Q1. How did you get to participate in this production?

I am on the faculty of opera program at Mennes College of Music. For some lucky reasons, we have some Korean students in Mennese. I have worked with them and admired their singing. By chance, I have happened to be friends with some of them. Im is one of them and when he asked me if I was interested in the project and I said I was. I thought it would be very interesting and worthy effort.

Q2. How did you compose of the orchestra?

It is not a particular orchestra. It is just a pick-up orchestra. In New York, you can compose of a very good pick-up orchestra because there are a lot of good players.

Q3. How many members will there be in your orchestra?

It is about 32. And good players found other good players through word-of-mouth. They are all playing in New York City.

Q4. Personally, what do you think about Popera, RAIN?

As an artist, I am basically not very political. But I felt this is the time to try to be a little more political. to try to make a statement to help other people make a statement about solving the problem between South and North Korea. So I want to become involved in some way, I thought, I could help.
